Shipper
The party that sends a shipment, named as the origin of the goods on the transport documents.The shipper (or consignor) hands the goods to the carrier and is named on the bill of lading opposite the consignee. In customs trade data the shipper is usually the exporter or supplier — for example, a Chinese manufacturer shipping to a Russian importer.
