A standardized numerical code that classifies a traded product for customs purposes under the Harmonized System.The HS code is a 6-digit code maintained by the World Customs Organization and used by more than 200 countries to identify goods on import and export declarations. Countries extend it with further digits — the EAEU (Russia, Kazakhstan) uses a 10-digit ТН ВЭД code — to set tariff rates and collect trade statistics.
